Students from our Children and Wee Warriors programs competed this weekend at the Kids All Star Tournament. A lot of schools represented bringing a lot of competition. Our students had a great time and represented Young Forest Martial Arts, and their parents exceptionally well (as usual) both in and out of the ring. As a martial arts school owner and head instructor, it’s common to get asked to assist as a judge or referee, making it difficult to impossible to get to watch/coach our students. But I take comfort and great pride knowing that our students can conduct themselves so well with limited direct supervision. I take more pride in getting complements from other school instructors about how well behaved and controlled our students are than what kind of medals or trophies they won.
Good job everyone! And many thanks to the parents who brought their children to participate. Special thanks to Wittler’s Black Belt Academy for inviting us!
