Martial Arts Mania Tournament | Having Fun and Making New Friends

Young Forest Martial Arts at Martial Arts ManiaWe had a great time at Martial Arts Mania Tournament, hosted by Lion’s Karate. Master Hanford and the rest of Lion’s Karate, along with the many schools that participated, and of course all the Black Belt and other volunteers, ran a great tournament. With 80 plus competitors, the competition was fierce. Fortunately, Young Forest students were up to the challenge. We had several students place in their divisions and two students, Claire Miller and Katelynn Cleere, make it to the Grand Championship Division with Katelynn making it to the final round (her sixth sparring match of the day). As always, I could not be more proud of my students; not just because they performed well, but because they conducted themselves well and did a great job representing Young Forest. All the competitors represented their schools well.  I was very impressed at the level of respect and Young Forest Martial Arts at Martial Arts Maniasportsmanship from all the competitors. Lion’s Karate puts on several tournaments and events a year, and we look forward to participating in more of their events.

Congratulations again to our competitors for their hard work. A special thanks to the parents who sacrificed a beautiful Saturday to bring their child(ren) and support such a great and fun learning experience. And thanks again Master Steve Hanford and Lion’s Karate, and all the other schools, competitors, and volunteers!
