Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kuen is difficult to sum up into words. Those who study Wing Chun, and experience Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun, will immediately recognize it as the original, complete Wing Chun. Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun has not gained the same popularity as the famous Yip Man Wing Chun, or other popular Wing Chun schools, as Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun was taught primarily to family members and indoor disciples until relatively recently. Until instruction of now Grand Master Garrett Gee by Dr. Ming Wang, Hung Fa Yi was never taught outside the family. In order to preserve his art and to honor his Kung Fu lineage, Grand Master Gee decided to pass on his knowledge to students who  demonstrate sincere interest in this Advanced Wing Chun system. Grand Master Gee is currently the 8th Generation successor of Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kuen. His decision to open the system represents the first time in its 330 year history that Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kuen has been taught outside China or to the public.
